In mid-August 2018, we sent out a plea for a foster home or rescue for Guthrie, this sweet Shepherd mix who has been on the streets of Garland for almost a year. He was running around with another dog but was left alone when his buddy was rescued. We knew we needed to get Guthrie off the streets too. Luckily, one of our volunteers stepped up to foster and we were able to move forward with capture.
Guthrie is very thin and will spend a lot of time eating all the good foods! He’s also heartworm positive and will need treatment. He is a sweet shy boy, getting used to life in a home, and he’s coming out of his shell more and more each day.
A very special thank you goes out to Good Samaritan Eula Haley for getting Guthrie on a feeding schedule and spending several months feeding him and getting him acquainted with the trap. We could not have done this without you, Eula!
